To ensure that our archery range remains safe, please be aware of these safety
rules.
Alcoholic beverages and drugs may not be consumed
prior or during shooting on the archery ranges. Shooters who are suspected
to be under the influence alcohol beverages or drugs will not be allowed to
shoot and will be removed from the premises. For the purposes of this rule,
“drugs” shall mean any illegal drug, and also shall mean any prescription
medication if that prescription medication affects the judgment or safe
conduct of the shooter.
Contact the FLSC Club Manager or a FLSC Board member at 651-464-9931 if you
observe unsafe range conditions that you cannot correct.
Archers may not use broad heads at any time.
Absolutely no “sky-drawing.” Bows may only be drawn down range toward the
targets.
Before firing an arrow, make sure the area behind the target is clear of any
living creatures or objects that could endanger participants.
Wait until all arrows have been shot before going down range to pull arrows.
Do not nock an arrow until everyone is behind the line.
Treat a bow and arrow with as much respect as a firearm. No horse play.
Smoking, glass containers, and open camp fires are not allowed.
Stay on the designated trail on the walk-thru course; do not cut across the
course.
If you must look for a lost arrow, place your bow on the hanger in front of
the target so others will know you are behind the target. Shooters are
encouraged to write their membership number or name on the arrow or
fletching so lost arrows can be returned to you if found.
The hunting and shooting of animals is not allowed on club property.
Violators will be reported to the legal authorities and club members may
have to forfeit their membership without a refund.
Be considerate of other shooters. Practice good sportsmanship and use common
sense.
Treat club property with respect. Theft and vandalism will be prosecuted.
Do not remove or move targets.
Parking is allowed in the authorized parking area only. No vehicles are
allowed on the ranges without written permission from the Board of Directors
or the Club Manager.
Let faster shooters move ahead.
Shooting after posted archery hours is prohibited. Posted shooting hours are
from 9:00 a. m. to dusk.
Pets must be tied, leashed, or placed in a vehicle at all times while on
club property. Dogs must be controlled to prevent barking and the owner must
clean-up after their pet.
Shoot only from marked areas. Do not trim trees or shrubs near the shooting
lanes to make a shot easier.
FLSC members must carry their shareholder card while on the archery range to
verify club membership.
Members may not share the gate codes with non-members. Violating this rule
will lead to the forfeiture of club membership without refund.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult.
Always close and lock gate after entering and exiting the range unless a
public shooting event or work party is being held.
Please note: FLSC holds various shooting events throughout the year. During
these events the archery range facilities are only open to the individuals
and club members participating in the event.
