Rifle Range Rules

The last day of Sight-In Days was Friday November 7th - Thank you for your patronage.
The Little Log Cabin at the Rifle Range is used for registration during Sight-In Days in the fall.

The Rifle Range is open to the Public Only during Spring & Summer Pistol Leagues and Sight-In Days each fall.

bulletAll guns MUST be cased until at the firing point!

During the spring & summer,  8-week pistol leagues are held at the range.  Please contact the club house for additional information.

Each Fall FLSC opens our gates to invite the shooting public to use our state of the art rifle range, to sight-in hunting firearms, prior to the Minnesota & Wisconsin Firearms Deer Season.  We offer yardages including 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, & 400 yard ranges.  Please scroll down for details on Sight-In Days

Spring Pistol League

Spring Pistol league begins Tuesday, April 8, and will run for 8 weeks.  League fee is $68.  Shooting hours are from 3:00pm until dusk.

Open Shooting day is Tueday, April 1, 2008.  2:00pm until dusk.

Summer Pistol League

Summer Pistol league begins Tuesday, June 10, and will run for 8 weeks.  League fee is $68.  Shooting hours are from 3:00pm until dusk.

Open Shooting day is Tueday, June 3, 2008.  3:00pm until dusk. 

All types of pistols and sights are allowed

Course of fire and yardage will vary weekly

NRA Certified Pistol Instructor/Range Officer will officite

Prizes wil vary depending on the Rangemaster's mood.

Minnesota DNR Firearms Safety Programs

Fall brings many Firearm Safety Classes to the Forest Lake Sportsmen's Club for their field tests.  The field test is only part of the training that is required for a State of Minnesota Firearms Safety Certificate.  Please see the About FLSC page for details on Firearms safety classes that are offered in the area.

 

2008 Sight-In Days

The club now accepts and    

Each Year FLSC opens our gates to invite the shooting public to use our state of the art rifle range, to sight-in hunting firearms, prior to the Minnesota Firearms Deer Season.  We offer yardages including 25, 50, 100, 200, 300, & 400 yards

All ranges have covered, sound controlled shooting benches, sandbags & metal rests, spotting scopes and friendly Range Officers to help you, all at no extra charge.  We also offer $5 Bore Sighting and various concessions.  All targets are pre-posted for continuous shooting and safety.

On "Open to the Public" days, the range is available 9:00am to 4:00pm from September 19 through November 7.  No sign-ups after 3:30pm.  

You may also contact out manager to arrange a private time for shooting.  You may call 651.464.9931 during normal business hours or send an e-mail to our club manager.  Additional fees may apply.

We allow handguns, rifles, shotguns (with slugs) and muzzle loaders.  Please, no air guns, .50 cal BMG's or any fully automatic firearms.  We don't sell ammunition, so bring what you need.

All youngsters wishing to shoot must be at least 11 years old and have taken Fire Arms Safety Classes.  All shooters and spectators must wear ear and protection.  Our facility, including restrooms, is handicap accessible.  Smoking is only permitted in the parking lot.  All guns must be unloaded and cased until at the shooting shelters and moving from one shelter to another.
